Hello List,
Can someone please tell me where I can find the exact wording/verbage which indicates Celiac Disease is covered under the ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) and that it is a condition that is suitable for a 504 plan in the public education system?
Any direct references, websites, or samples of your child's ADA plan would be appreciated.
Also, for those of you who established a 504 plan, who was your first point of contact with the school, how long did it take before the first meeting took place and exactly who was involved?
I am trying to gather this information for myself and for our local support group that I lead. (ROCK - Raising Our Celiac Kids - Northern Virginia/Metro DC Chapter).
Thanks so much for any information you may be able to share with me. Please send it to [log in to unmask] I will compile all the info I receive and will be happy to summarize & share.
