Elliott's post:--

<<<< **********I have a different sort of problem with SYSTEM RESTORE. All of a
sudden it disappeared from my computer. All attempts to access it have been
failures. Many suggestions have been made on how to recover from this loss
but so far none has helped. Anyone have something??>>>

I am sorry, but on going through the archives for the above header I do not find any specific response to your post, so I do not know what fixes you have tried so far.

Nevetheless FWIW I would suggest you pl try "control panel/administrative tools/services/system restore service" and set to "automatic".

HTH and good luck--- Venkat
