Am I the only one that can't
>use my bodys reaction to foods to infer what my carb/fat/protein intake
>should be?

Maybe you are the only one, j/k. I know that in my case I have both long
term and short term reactions to certain macro-nutrient proportions. If I
have just a few carbs I get very puffy and my stomach literally looks like
a balloon by evening. I guess that would be a short term reaction- which
makes it easy for me to figure out that I can't eat many carbs. The fat-
protein part is harder. I tried the homo optimus diet once which
emphasizes more fat with less protein. My skin looked amazing, but my
strength/energy decreased. I am still unsure about what my fat to protein
ratio should be since the effects are more long term.

As for Mercola's test, it didn't help me very much. I do believe he is
right in that there are carb, mixed and protein types, but his test
doesn't necessarily diagnose accurately. My results said that I was a
mixed type, but I am actually a protein type. The fact that meat doesn't
agree with me made the test diagnose me as 'mixed'. I am a protein type
but my body just happens to prefer seafoods and nuts (must be my
Mediterranean genes).
