I do not believe you have a major challenge. One of the files for the
operation of the scanner has apparently become corrupted/bad. This
happens to files every now and then for a myriad of reasons.
I would get the original instructions for installing the scanner. Then
go to "control panel/add & remove programs" and remove any program(s)
for your scanner and disconnect your scanner from the computer. Then
follow the original instructions for installing the scanner.
If this does not solve the scanner issue, please post again.
I'm not familiar with "tune-up utilities 2006", so someone else might
address this challenge although, if not simply coincidental with the
scanner issue, the foregoing reinstall might solve both issues. You
might have to also "remove" this program before reinstalling it.

All of a sudden my scanner just stopped working and I uninstalled it and try to reinstall it but it says it is installed but won't let me use it. The info that came up was that the AppInitalization.bpl no longer existed. I have no idea what that is, though I have had a computer for the last 5 years I still do not know how to do anything about the insides of it.
