Maddalena,
It seems recently I have come across suggestions to
not take any more than 500 mg of Calcium and take
Calcium and Magnesium in a 1:1 ratio. I have not
looked into it to any great degree and so I am not
sure what is the best recommendation.
If you are look for some more information on how to
choose and prepare foods to increase calcium and
improve or maintain bone health I good book that I
have come across is Food and Our Bones: The Natural
Way to Prevent Osteoporosis by Annemarie Colbin. It
is not paleo and is written with the assumption that
whole-grains are necessary. But it also discusses
bone broths and vegetable preparation which I find
well-written. It also discusses some of the concerns
about vitamin and mineral supplementation.
Personally, I have stopped taking all supplements.
With my somewhat limited budget I have decided that I
would rather buy higher quality food and no
supplements than have to eat cheaper food so that I
can buy supplements.

Is this a good combination? Any ideas?
