My 15 year-old celiac daughter will travel to Israel for three weeks in July to participate in a leadership seminar. She'll be staying with a family in Kfar Saba for one week, traveling through Israel with a group for the second week, and participating in a Gadna or Kibbutz experience the third week. Any advice on how she can eat safely would be most appreciated! She has traveled a lot since her diagnosis as a young child, but this is the first time she'll be traveling without a parent. Should we send food with her? Will she be able to obtain and identify gluten-free food over there?
Many thanks,
Amy Blumenthal
