His problem has never, imo, been with his operating skills, per se, but with his arrogant attitude that the rules about "broadcasting" and commercial use of the bands don't apply to him.

  regarding Glen Bastard, apparently he's behaving himself on the yl system on
  14.332. He helps out with net control activities and relays pertinent
  information. I was surprised when I heard his call sign thrown around during
  the summer when I first became active on that frequency. It's neat to hear
  such a character exhibited good operator skills, since he's proven in the
  past to have none.
