I came across an excellent study on Ketogenic diets
that seems to cover just about everything we discuss
regularly on this list.

http://tinyurl.com/sxv79

The part that stuck out the most to me was this,

"Thus, the concern that VLCKDs might induce insulin
resistance because of the high saturated fat content
has not been supported by published data; in fact, the
research supports a possible beneficial effect"

The article also covers lean body mass retention on a
high fat vs low fat diet, the increase in LDL particle
size, fasting insulin, testosterone, leptin, men v.s
women, overweight v.s normal weight, saturated fat v.s
mono fats. etc..etc...

This is an excellent body of work that should make
most of us here feel very good about what we're doing
dietary wise.

Mark
