I recently came across something commercial that pretty well qualifies as
paleo grain. This was on the Gluten-free Mall {www.glutenfreemall.com).
They have Indian rice grass flour. Indian rice grass is a wild grass
which was
collected and used by American Indians. This is whole-grain flour, very
high
in fiber and protein. And it's gluten-free.
They also have almond flour and (yippee!) chestnut flour. I just used
the chestnut flour to make sensational crepes; no other flour required,
just an egg and water. Chestnuts have GOT to be paleo by anybody's
standards. Chestnut flour crepes with fresh strawberry filling; you could
serve that to your in-laws and they wouldn't complain (except for the
lack of whipped cream :-)
