Angel,

Perhaps Jesus made Judas a disciple to demonstrate that one can be doing the
Lord's work, casting out demons, healing the sick, but in the end, He says
"Depart from me, you evildoers.  I don't know you," even when he protest
that he was doing it in Christ's name.  There is also a verse that says
something like, "Haven't I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?"
To me, this indicates the possibility that Judas had no salvation all along.
