Hi Guys,
Well, I've finally heard from Chris. He had a long study hall
today. He was supposed to be studying for finals, but he borrowed
somebody's cell phone and gave me a quick call instead.
My, he certainly was full of news!! He has given up his hotel room
and moved in with Nicki's family. It's cheaper, I guess. Nicki has
lost her job at Dunken Doughnuts because her mother was making her
steal money from the cash register, supposedly. The story is that
Nicki's mom didn't give the money back so that Nicki could replace
it. Yah, right. Chris hasn't been able to call us from Nicki's
house because they've lost phone service. Chris claims that, they
have the money, they just forgot to pay the bill. Right again! Oh,
and Chris is offf probation! His probation officer is so proud! What a joke!!
I had been wondering how he was doing. He was so nice up to
Christmas and then, nothing. He probably really called today to see
if we had received his replacement drivers license in the mail. I
did tell him that, any time he feels like having a home cooked
spaghetti dinner to just consider himself invited, but who knows when
that will happen. I guess that he'll have to want something from us first.
I guess that I"m just venting my pain right now. Greg is at the
post office so I can't talk to him. I"m home alone and I just had to
talk to somebody. Parenthood truly can be painful can't it. Thanks
for always being there for me.
Kathy
