No, Angel, it doesn't mean we brow-beat God in to giving us what we want.
When you continue praying in a given situation, God will give you the
comfort and will tell you when enough is enough. Trust Him. Lean on Him.
When He assures you that enough is enough, you will know. Might I give you
an example?

When my mother was suffering with terminal cancer, I felt led to tell her of
her illness and allow her to make peace with those in her life with whom she
would like to. The rest of the family said, "No, that will make her worse.
She is afraid of dying." I visited her, talked to her, loved her, and most
of all, prayed for her. I sang to her. She said I could sing, but I could
not talk religion with her. So I asked God fervently, "What should I do?"
Scripture to music is what came to my mind. So I sang of the love of
Jesus, and I talked through song about how she could know if God had heard
her prayers and saved her. And then I prayed. It wasn't necessarily
constantly so that I couldn't do anything else. It was when I get getting a
coke or going to the bathroom, or even walking the dog.

And then one morning it happened. It was the last day I would see my mother
alive, and this strong feeling came over me. The words "Let go, you've done
what you could." came to me. The overwhelming feeling of detachment came
over me, but it wasn't a painful one. It was a mystery to me, but I trusted
God for its outcome and I pray I see my mother in eternity on the right
side.

Hope that helps. I'm not sure if God actually gave me what I wanted, but He
was there to comfort me.

April
