Phil and others -

Check out this link. I just did a Google on Mel Waters' name and this was
the first hit:

I heard an old recording of Mel Waters. He claimed, back in 1997, that he
tied a weight on a string and kept tying more and more string on to it until
he stopped at 15 miles without reaching bottom. Sure, can you imagine how
much 15 miles of string, with a weight tied on the end, might way? Try
climbing a 60 foot tower and pulling RG8 up behind you. Of course I know
RG8 weighs way more than string but we are talking about 15 miles of string.
Roll that 15 miles of string up and try lifting the ball and then get back
to me. Mel also said he knew a man who dumped his dead dog's body down the
whole on his property. Weeks later the dog was seen roaming Mel's property.
Mel said in this recording that if he got sick enough he was going to die,
and even has it written in his will, his body should be dumped into the
hole. Ok by me. If I recall correctly, they recently said they have a lead
on where Mel lives now but for awhile, and until what I heard recently, Mel
was long gone and nobody can fine the whole on his property. I wonder why?
It is probably because the bands are so bad or the HARP blew it out of the
earth. You think?

Phil.
