Ok, John.

Now, I have connected the USB sound blaster to the computer.

And Jaws and the wave files work together fine.

Now, here's my next question.

The USB sound blaster works ok if I plug my MFJ 392 mono communications
headphones into the mini phono jack on the side of the sound blaster device.

However, when I plug the desk-top stereo speakers into the box, I get
nothing.

Do you know what the various output jacks on that sound blaster are?

I tried getting into the control panel and the audio page, but manipulating
the volume control settings didn't help.

Even my volume using the mono headphones is quite a bit lower than if I take
the sound blaster device totally out of the equasion.
