Hi Everyone!

This morning I received a response to my Zonulin
summary (posted on 12/16/05). Here's Dr. Fasano's
response to my question:

The real reason why zonulin is there to open the
tight junction is to defend us against infections
and other noxious attacks in the intestine.
It is by mistake of evolution that gluten activates
the zonulin system.

Thank you Dr. Fasano!

Warm Regards,
