received many interesting responese.  People say..ah but it's gf.  Please remember that gf does NOT mean it doesn't contain gluten.  In the US, a product may contain as much as 200 parts per million and still be labeled as gf.  

Following that thought, two friends of mine, one a pharmacist and the other a science professor have problems with the statement that vinegars and alcohols are gf....the assumption that it is 100% gluten free.  They have flat out said that it is impossible to totally remove ALL gluten.  And since the law states 200 parts per million is legal, that proves that we are getting traces of gluten in those products.  That also explains why so many get reactions from so called "gf" products
