Hi All--
This may not be news to anyone but me, but I wanted to let people know that
I tried a small snack-sized sack of Snyder's of Hanover Ripple potato chips
last week and was, frankly, amazed. They are GF (only the plain and Ripple
are GF), no trans fats, 40% less fat than other potato chips, and they have
4g of fiber!!! (compared to 1g or less for Lays).
The bad news is that the company only makes the snack-sized bags for vending
machines and snack shops in service stations, etc. so finding the small bags
is a hit-and-miss proposition (mostly miss). Amazon.com doesn't have them,
that I could find. People can order directly from the company - web site is:
www.snydersofhanover.com , but you can only get the 1 lb. bags. I guess
their claim to fame is their pretzels (?).
Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that there's a potato chip out
there that actually appears to be not so bad for you, has fiber in it, like
the actual potato does, and they're pretty wonderful tasting.
Cheers,
Ayn in Alabama
