Now you really make me afraid to touch the Bios at all. Thanks for the
advice, I think I'll leave it to my son. He's more into the inside working s
of a PC. I'll let you know how I get on.

You might want to search for a program on the internet or from the 
motherboard
manufacturer of your computer that monitors temp(s) and sends a pop-up if
something is out of bounds.....
