I heard this on national news but it happened here in Denver.  A 10 year old
boy came home from school.  His parents were gone and the first door was
locked.  He went around his home to the fenced backyard.  After opening the
gate, the family's three full grown pit bulls attacked him.  the neighbors
heard it and came running.  Baseball bats were used but the dogs were in a
frenzy and the boy was mauled from top to bottom.  He is in critical
condition.  The parents have blocked the news media from reporting to the
public of the boys condition.  The TV news tonight said this family has been
called a dozen times by neighbors concerning their dogs and the police have
come to make reports.  It will be a miracle if the boy lives.  One neighbor
I saw interview was one of the bat swinging people trying to save the boys
life.  His voice was shaking and he was very upset.  He said he had never
seen anything so horrible in his whole life.  The parents had two other pit
bulls in their home that were pups which the police took away.  One of the
attacking pit bulls had to be shot by one of the police officers.  Another
police officer told the news that the boy had dogs bites everywhere on his
body.  Just ten years old, too.
