Umm, that answer may be a bit misleading...As a network administrator, I
just had the pleasure of upgrading the BIOS of 50+ Compaq 486 computers, all
of which were built after 1984.  Best bet is to contact the OEM from which
you purchased the system, or peruse the web page of the motherboard
manufacturer.
