My sixteen year old daughter is going to camp by her choice for four weeks. She has had several anaphylactic reactions to small amounts of milk products in food.
When we go on trips she lives on peanut butter and Kosher lunch meat sandwiches. I am concerned how she will be able to get enough to eat for a month.
Does anyone have any advice on how to instruct the camp kitchen? How much is a private camp required to do to accommodate a person with severe allergies? We will send some food with her - lunch meat, peanut butter, dairy-free breakfast bars, and Parve bread. Does anyone have any other food suggestions? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
