Brad,
It really was God's trickery on Jacob. You know, his name means skemer.
Well, God had a larger plan than Jacob was aware of and kind of out-tricked
Jacob, at least as far as he was concerned.
You know that scripture wich says, with the pure he will show himself pure,
and with the froward he will show himself froward. I can't find that now.
Now, if you think God had to go through a lot of hoops to get the line of
Jesus perfectly, take a look at Gen 38. What a mess. but the one who came
forth from Judah, was in the line of Jesus., and look at Boaz and Ruth.
So for those skeptics who just think God and the bible and His plan are
non-existant, only God could have put his plan altogether to bring forth his
son. So in our lives, let's not doubt that he is working, and sees the end
from the beginning.
Vinny
