I have taken the liberty to drop a number of people, whom I have not seen
post in well over a year, off the echurch-USA list. Why? Well, I don't
think they are reading the mail but Saint Johns will discontinue their
operations February the first. Mail is currently being forwarded from Saint
Johns for the benefit of those who have not yet added the new echurch
address to their address book. when that stops on February the first,
anybody trying to post who have not changed and updated the echurch address
will automatically be deleted from the new server. Plus, the new system has
a daily error report that is sent out. If there is a problem sending to an
email address, I see it through that daily report. After five errors, it
will remove anyone from the system whose mail is bouncing which means there
is no connection to that person. Also, the system checks by sending an
email probe to inactive subscribers. It does this currently every six
months. If that probe bounces, they are automatically deleted. We have
quite a few people that I don't even personally know simply because I have
not seen them post for probably at least two years but certainly all last
year. Some are likely set to no mail status which means they aren't reading
our mail anyhow. If you hear from someone who got deleted, just tell them,
if they want to remain, to let me know.

Phil.
