I've driven for 18 yrs and just had my first real accident (no one hurt,  but 
my car had damage that cost more than the car was worth).  I never had  any 
hassels  - the DMV was cool.
However, now I live in another state and was told people with CP have a  hard 
time getting liscense.  Turns out, that was bunk and the cops who came  to my 
accident was also cool.
I'd say just approach the whole driving thing with confidence and you'll be  
on your way!
