1. "Turbine ventilator" is used by one company.  You may particularly 
like the name of one of their products - Superwhirly

I would caution you against using the Edmunds SuperWhirly thingie in these parts.  Extensive research has determined that they are located in Australia and, as we all know, things spin in the opposite direction down under.

I would also note that the SuperWhirly is designed to remove "super heated attic air" and not the regular kind.

I also notice that it has an "automatic breaking system" which works in "extreme wind speeds" and this sounds like a planned obsolescence deal.  I'm not sure if that is a feature I would want.

I do like their TurboBeam which is a clear plastic turbine ventilator that allows light to shine into the attic to let rodents and termites find their way.  Very thoughtful.

Just thought you would want to know...
