In doing an online search, I found lots of items for removing Antivirus
XP 2008. However, most of them seemed to be lead ins to purchasing
software. The following seems to be legitimate. It appears daunting at
the beginning. If you bypass the first few posts and skip to post #4, it
is not that difficult and the directions appear to be understandable for
a even a novice. Good luck.

I have an updated Norton Antivirus so I would have thought this would have protected me. How do I go about getting rid of this virus? So far Norton has popped up and fixed everything or so it said but this Antivirus XP 2008 is still on the computer. I am able to use the internet and Microsoft Outlook Express. I am using Windows XP Media Center. My desktop is blurry and this virus program keeps popping up in the startup tray.
