I now have my daughter's Averatec 3150 laptop (she got a new Sony Vaio). The
Averatec is displaying an error message on startup that the "North Bridge
Fan" has failed. If I press F1 to continue, it works just fine. My
assumption is that there is a sensor error. The problem is that I can't seem
to figure out how to take this thing apart. This is a bit embarrassing to me
since I can usually fix all sorts of devices!
My request to the list is any specific instructions on how to take this
particular laptop apart, or where can I get a service manual that would show
me how to do it. Searching on Google came up with no results. Some service
manual sites show that no such manual is available, but some blogs indicated
that some people do have one. Any help would be appreciated.
