I would check the bios
at boot:
press and hold F! OR F2 Or DEL Or F10 key
check if mb audio is enabled.
Before you install sound you need to identfy the audio chip on your MB.
Commonly used are Realtek, CMI,and Analog devices Sound Max.
Usefulf freeware software like older versions of Everest. Avalable from:
