Thank you for your responses. Here are the suggestions for getting or making the cheese crisps. Below are the responses from various people.

I've found these at Whole Foods Market;at least the one in St. Paul, MN carries them.

I buy  shredded Parmigiano Reggiano (the real stuff - not the stuff in the 
green can).  Sprinkle little piles on parchment - spread out a little bit - 
about half dollar size or larger.  Bake at 350 until they melt and remove from 
oven - as soon as they cool peel them off.  I use them in salads or sometimes 
just a small snack.I store them in a plastic container and they keep for a week or so.

I've tried these crackers too and they are very tasty. My box is gone, but I've found them online they are called Kitchen Table Bakers Gourmet Cheese Crackers:

you can easily make them youself....get a heavy frying pan and heat it 
up..place about 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese in center and heat until it 
starts to melt..about 30 seconds.  Carefully remove to rack to cool. You can 
also wrap it around a rolling pin or cannoli form for filling

I know this isn't what you are looking for, but - you'll need an 
oven, some parchment paper or a couple of Silpat mats, cookie sheets, 
good quality dried herbs (I like Penzey's brand), and some dry grated 
cheeses (e.g. shredded, not granulated, Parmesan).

Set oven to 350 degrees. Mix herbs into cheese (1-2 tsps per cup of 
cheese). Sprinkle the cheese in circles on your baking surface. Bake 
at 350 until bubbly. Cool and decant. Repeat.
