Hi everyone in the Denver area!
Monica Poole, owner of Deby's Gluten Free Bakery and Deli, has free
cooking demonstration classes every Wednesday at the cafe. Next
Wednesday, February 8th at 6:30 p.m., she will be having a pastry crust
demonstration. Monica will be making a chicken pot pie, both the crust
and filling. There is no cost for the class. One great idea is to go
and enjoy a dinner, and stay for the class afterwards. The class is
hands-on. You will be able to mix, roll, and see what the dough looks
like during the preparation. She will be providing us with the recipes
for both the pastry and the filling. We will be able to sample the pot
pie too! This sounds like a great idea for once a month cooking. Make
a large number of pot pies and freeze them for your convenience. The
class usually runs 45 minutes to an hour.
