Hi Don;
Happy to hear that the battery problem seems to be fixed. I can't help but
ask, what amateur radio news line?

Hi all,

Ray, your suggestion worked. I removed the battery and then listened to the
Amateur Radio Newsline and then put the battery back onto the radio.

The radio came right up when I hit the on button and seems to be working
perfectly now.

Probably something glitched when charging the battery. I'll know for sure
that everything is fine after I recycle the battery and see how it takes a
charge.

Many thanks,

Don W6SMB

Before you reset the radio, Pull the battery of the radio for a few

the problem.

Subject: thf-6a battery problem

Hi guys,

I'm having a problem with my thf-6a. The battery went flat the other
day and I put it on charge. The radio does come on when the charger
is plugged in, but
there seems to be no charging to the battery itself as the radio won't
fire up if I unplug the charger.

I haven't had any problems with the battery in the past and it seems
to have been holding a charge as it should.

Not sure if a reset would do any good in this case. The radio is
about 18 months old or there abouts.

It's really odd that it should have happened this suddenly.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Don W6SMB
