Hi Phil and others:

I have DSL through Verizon and like it over all. The only problem I
have is a loud humming sound on my phones. In fact, when I use my cordless
phone, the voices sound more distant to me. When I called technical
support, the sent me to standard phone repair since I still heard the
humming when the DSL modem was turned off. When the technician came, she
disconnected my DSL modem and my wall-mounted phone and the noise stopped.
I am using a standard filter on my wall-mounted phone so I really don't know
how much truth there is in what she is saying. Other than the line noise, I
have been satisfied with my DSL. Thanks.

Eric
