Hi Howard,

I got it to work very well with the 480 as well as the downloadable Kenwood 
software.  I just bought a serial cable from the computer store and hooked 
it up.  You will want to look at your menus for the TS-480 to make sure what 
the baud rate is that you're using and make sure that matches what you sent 
in HRD.
