Well, the first thing to check, is your audio changing?
If so, then we have to figure out what is changing it.
Control pannel, sounds and audio devices, press control-tab twice, 
and tab to O volume, which is the input pannel.  Make sure microphone 
is checked and that the level is high.  Up is high down arrow is lower.
