John and Steve:

Please don't laugh if I make a total fool out of myself here, but I'm among
friends, right?

I have something called an MP3 Sound-blaster USB device here that I once
used with an old laptop that had a broken head-phone jack.

The 566 ham shack computer does have a USB port.

Might this help?
