the manual for the W32A says right in it, if you want to run it on external
power for a long time, use the AA holder with nothing in it on the battery
compartment, so that's good advice with any radio you'll use like that.

Thisw has been discussed on the icom t90 list, and bottom line is, use
their adapter or build your own, don't apply over 11.5.  Yes, you'll
overcharge the battery on almost any ht running it like that.
