The dimmer button makes it read frequency.  This is the button immediately to
the left of the volume knob assembly.  The memory settings as well as pl tone
settings will also talk.

The CNIB version of the manual is pretty good.  I believe I got it off of
icanworkthisthing.com but if its not up there if you'll drop me a note I'll help
with it.
