I have a firend who has the pro and the pro 2.  The pro 2 of course, has 
dsl stuff.  I actually considered the pro 2 when I got myy Kenwood 2000. 
There just isn't any comparison as far as accessability.  The 2000 has 
menus that alk and all that.  All you really get out of the Icom is 
frequency.  I've never regretted getting the 2000.
