Hi Everyone, Thank you all for your letters.
7 people told me to check out Sjogren's syndrome
2 flaxseed oil
1 fish oil
1 to decrease amounts of omega 6 fatty acids that you eat as they may cause
  imflammation
1 oriental/aurieydic concepts dry eye is associated with liver problems
1 tear ducts then had permanetly cauterized closed
1 lasik eye surgery I went in for Lasik and after they healed. All my
problems were solved and my eyes were corrected to boot. Lasik does have
two things that I want to warn about however, the procedure can cause your
eyes to be dry initially but that is normal. It is part of the healing
process. Even now though, in the morning or if I stay up for a long long
night I can feel my eye's beginning to get dry. Nothing like before but
definately enough to want t
o put a moisturizing drop in. However, when I
was younger and didn't have any of these problems I remember my eyes
getting dry during these two occasions. The other thing is that I think
that my night driving is not as good as it used to be. I think the glare
is harder for me to see past than before. On a normal night it is ok, but
on a raining night with the water slick across the street and the street
lights reflecting off of it. I find it very hard to feel confident about
my driving ability if I am not familiar with the area that I am driving
in. So I just thought I would share that with you, but I did want to make
sure to let you know the down side as well as the up side of things. For
myself, it has been the best choice I could have made.
1 botox shots do wear off and have to be repeated
1I too have corneal erosion. The fix has been for the doctor to remove
the eroded tissue and then make micro-perfs (holes)
in the underlying
tissue with idea being that the perfs will cause scaring and make the
tissue stronger. Really. I went to 3 doctors who all told me same
thing. When I have an incident it is very, very painful. The procedure
is simple enough, but does take several days (with daily visits to
doctor to check progress) for my eye to recover. The worst episode
occurred after the first procedure when they pressure patched my eye and
then my eye apparently swelled up under the patch causing excruciating
pain. Now, they just put on a soft contact lenses after the procedure
that serves as a bandage and the pain is more bearable. I have had
improvement with one eye after 4-5 outbreaks and procedures. If it
went one more time the next fix was to use a laser to scratch the
surface of my cornea with the intention again being to create scar
tissue and make a firmer bond. The other eye is now showing some
erosion, but it's not to
the point where repair is needed.
1 thyroid
2 Vitamin A, zinc, mag
2 Yes on a G/F diet
2 Gotten worse on a G/F diet

Medications people tried for their eyes:
Refresh Plus
Celluvisc
Muro
Refresh Ointment
Systane
Patanol
Restansis
Puralube eye Ointment
Bausch and Lomb PM eye Ointment
Refreh Endura
Mini Drops Eye Therapy
There Tears (Costco)
Hydroeye
I can tell you if these are all G/F. I do know that the company for Systane
said that it is and that Muro can not say that it is so I have it
compounded.

Thank you everyone hope everyone is feeling better soon. Linda
