Foodnetwork.com"s Rachel Ray had a recipe for condensed cream of mushroom soup on today's show.
It is soooooo easy
Bascially, make a mushroom soup and thicken. She used flour, but you could wait until soup was finished an then add a slurry or cornstarch or arrowroot.
Interestingly, she considers this a recipe for which you always have the ingredients on hand
One hint, she added some grated nutmeg. Always add a pinch of freshly grated nutmet to any recipe with dairy products.
