thank you all very much for your thoughtful and helpful comments:
1. levoxyl is the only thyroid med one list member tolerates.
2. eating bananas lowers blood pressure. be watchful for that.
3. tsh, t3, t4, should be checked every few weeks, so first check with my dr. for balance.
4. try armour thyroid
5. one list member used panothenic acid for adrenal support and other b vitamins for
deficiencies. she read up on it first before starting.
6. adrenals should be checked first before starting thyroid replacement or it may make things
worse. find a good endocrinologist.
7. someone tried armour and compounded armour, but no luck. now trying homiopathic and
gentle herbs with naturopath. verdict not in.
8. find good m.d..get blood test for adrenal antibodies. or find good naturopath.
9. possible help with dhea supplement. get an acth stimulation test to check for adrenal
deficiency and find a willing endocrinologist.
10. this member is best on armour, but still not great. has had adrenal saliva test and was low.
dr. put them on adrenal support but not sure that is working out yet. will let us know.
controls low sugar w/low carb diet, eats small meals often, salts food for adrenal help, too much
adrenal supplement can shut down adrenals(not good), normal cholesteral helps hormone
production, avoid soy 4 hours before or after take thyroid med.

mary shoman has a website on adrenal/ thyroid
12. one family used naturopathic dr. to help son with adrenal crisis. first tried their regular md
but no luck. the nauropath dr tested and had child on adrenal support, to rest adrenals so they
could recover and many other supplements. the child was desperately ill with infection,
exhaustion , mood problems and digestive trouble, to name a few. resonded well to treatment and
now back to being healthy normal kid.
