I remember reading about a Hawaiian diet that was similar. The concept
apparently was to fill up on high volume low carb items. It may cut down on
the number of calories consumed in a day and limit cravings, but what does
it do to the gut flora. We aren't grazers or mainly vegetation eaters like
the orangutan.
