Hi -

Since our household milk allergy is NOT anaphylactic, I often serve the kids
(ages 8 and 10) different treats. No one here cares for cheese, so that's
not an issue, but candies and cookies can be a problem. I've identified
several milk-free sweets we can buy that are for the allergic child, although
sometimes his brother will have some too. It's kind of like catering to
kids with different preferences. NO big deal.

We don't serve food with milk mixed in at our house. Milk products, like
butter, croutons, go on the side and are added at the table.

FYI, we found a good dairy-free Mac'n'cheese at either FreshFields or at the
local health food store. It was pretty good!

I hope these thoughts help,
