Angel,
Instead of You Protestants" and "We Catholics" or "We Roman Catholics",
whatever... How about "we Christians"? Unless that can't roll off the
tongue *smile*. I realize their are ritual differences in which to
differentiate if that is important to you, but I'm speaking more
attitudinally here. See the thing is the Word didn't say "God so loved the
world that he gave his only begotten son and whosoever is Catholic shall
have eternal life". Or Protestant for that matter. It is not about
religion, it never ever has been. Jesus made that about as plain as the
nose on our face... notice I said "our face" not "my" face? I can't judge
whether "you" Catholics as you noted will go to heaven or not. That is
between you and God. I couldn't tell you if anyone in this world will go
to heaven... that is not my call. It isn't as easy as chunking Christianity
in departments of religion and saying "you will go to heaven, you will go
to hell" and the like. God sees the heart while man looks at the skin, the
outer man. There are evidences of one's heart seen in the outer man, but
we are all flawed and under grace and how that is sorted out is God's call,
not mine.
