Gretchen ran across an old friend yesterday.  Her name is Brook.  She grew
up in a horribly dysfunctional family.  She lived, when Gretchen was about
12 years old, not far from us so they got together all the time.  Her father
left them years ago and her mother died last year.  Brook has been on all
types of drugs, just like Gretchen.  Gretchen was getting out of her car
last night and Brook was getting off a bus and they recognized each other.
I led Brook to Christ today in my office and there is a long ways for her to
go due to all the tremendous trauma she has suffered over the years.  She
wants to also start coming to our home church and she wants to come for
regular weekly prayer sessions.  She is a very sad and broken person right
now but one thing is now for certain, she is born again and is a child of
the King.  Thank You Jesus!  I wish you could hear how loud I can yell.
I've made babies cry and dogs bark and people wake up who were sound asleep.
