Pat,

No I haven't read it. But you are indeed correct when you say pray for the
FDA. Perhaps it sounds cynical or left wingish, but they in fact do not
have the people's best interest in mind. I agree natural methods are best
if possible. I'm sure there is a natural one for every synthetic need but
finding it in today's world is more difficult. I guess that is just the age
we live in. I mean years and years ago they were not injecting our food
with antibiotics, steroids and etc. The guy who came out with "The Maker's
Diet" a biblical eating plan has a book out, probably the same name. His
name is Ruben Jordan, or Jordan Ruben, can't remember, dang those guys with
two first names, anyway it is extremely informative but not yet on
BookShare or the like. He basically saved his life from Kron's Disease
after countless medical applications and even stab in the dark ones when
the medical ones didn't work. He researched why God's people were so
healthy in all of history and looked at their diet. There are others out
there too that have adhered to God's suggested foods and etc. and have been
proven scientifically to be the healthiest. We abandoned the Maker's Diet
plan due to cost. Not of his supplements as we weren't even doing those,
but just buying none injected food is expensive. They are making it hard to
eat proper these days. For instance, a Turkey that is injected with
hormones and antibiotics, in other words your average turkey in a store ran
98 cents a pound here. A range fed organic non-injected or medicated turkey
ran $2 a pound. In the end though, one is better off spending the bucks on
good food rather than meds or doc bills in the future. You can actually
taste the difference between a range fed natural chicken and a store bought
one, they taste like chickens use to taste. It is amazing what they'll do
to our food and we don't even know. They have a chicken now that has been
messed with its genetics so it has no feathers. Less for them to process I
guess so they save money. I don't know, I think God's original equipment is
best.
