I am convinced that the essence of the paleo diet is not protein, but
fat. When I was eating loads of fat I had much less trouble avoiding
junk food. Now recently I have been eating less fat but find that the
desire to eat junk food (mainly snickers bars :-) is much higher. I am
going back to high fat. The protein takes care of itself with all the
meat I eat!

I also eat lots of fruit, several pieces a day, and veggies.
