Vinnie,

Prov 30:7-9
7 "Two things I ask of you, O LORD;
do not refuse me before I die:
8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, 'Who is the LORD?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.
NIV

I will say that there appear to be those Christians who have much, and
use much to further the gospel. How much is too much that we'd forget God?
And how little is too little that we might be tempted to steal and
dishonor god? Perhaps that is different in all of us? Who knows. It's a
matter of the heart I'd guess, that is where God looks anyway.

Hi Phil,
I have been away and working for awhile, and hadn't seen these
messages.  It
make take awhile, as the natural man sees it, for the Lord to vindicate
his
servants and sons, but the Lord will eventually show the false from the
true. I have seen these things happen in churches, and among believers
and
ministers alike.
The latest stuff I am familiar with, are those who preach the extreme
prosperity messages, where God wants to give you the best of everything,
and
that he will withold nothing material from his sons. The opposite side of
the teaching, is that those who are in poverty, that is their own fault,
they just don't have the faith.
That also goes along with the "feel-good-about-yourself- gospel. But I
won't go into that now.
Vinny
