A while back, I asked for suggestions for restaurants in North Carolina which are safe for those of us requiring gluten free food. A Greek restaurant, Apollo Flame was suggested to me in Asheville. To our delight, it was just a few minutes from our motel. When I explained my need to the waitress, the owner came to my table. He carefully went over the menu, made suggestions and offered to modify dishes to make them gluten free. A few minutes after my order was taken, the owner again came to our table. He was concerned about one of the ingredients in the dish I had ordered and wanted to be sure it was safe. The food was excellent. I have seldom gotten such careful consideration from the owner of a restaurant. Many thank you's to the person who recommended Apollo Flame.
