I am not clear on how fenugreek can be used as a base for asafoetida,
but here is a positive response from Banyan Botanicals.

Thank you for your email. Our asafetida is gluten free. We use
fenugreek as a base.

Best Regards,
Kathi

The following person has feedback, questions or comments:
A deLuca

Message: I am seeking asafoetida that does not contain any gluten
products - pure asafoetida or powdered that is compounded with corn or
rice starch - no barley and no wheat.

Can you help?

Thanks,
A. DeLuca
